Vesey Place is a terrace of fine mid-19th century dwellings, all protected structures, located close to Monkstown Crescent.
Our client, a keen artist, required a new kitchen extension to replace her existing inadequate space.
The new extension is deliberately a very simple form, designed so as not to compete with, and to have minimal impact on, the existing house. Maximum advantage is taken of the southerly aspect and the new sitting area will enjoy a close interaction with the landscaped garden. The proposed materials [lead-sheet roof, high-quality render and glazing system], are chosen for their simplicity and durability.
